After running a successful home-baking business in Accra, Marie Helene has decided to launch here in her new home… Dakar! Although in Ghana she specialized in French bakery goods, she is now choosing to focus on low-sugar, low-gluten, keto and paleo recipes.
So here’s what we tried, loved and highly recommend:
– The no-sugar-added chocolate mousse was perfect. Rich and chocolatey, but not overly sweet.
– The low-gluten seed bread was light and nutty, perfect for breakfast with a little jam or Casamance honey.
– Low-sugar red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting were light and fluffy, but rich in flavor. The carrot cake cupcakes were also delicious, but the red velvet were truly amazing.
– Her homemade berry jams (available in sugar-free versions).
Her recipes are both healthy and delicious, and she is also selling certain seeds and grains. Prices are for 500g each.
