Friday nights were made for pizza. And this past Friday night, we ate what may very well be the best pizza in Dakar – if what you’re looking for is American-style pizza.
Pizza Inn on the route de Ouakam, just after the Elton station but before Cheikh Anta Diop University, had both good pizza and good prices.
A small pizza is 2,000cfa, but considering how good it was, I’d suggest going for the 3,800cfa medium for one person. Choose from thin or thick crust (delicious!) and a wide variety of toppings. Don’t expect the ‘pepperoni’ to taste like in the US, but the mozzarella is a welcome change from Emmental.
Between the four of us, we had two Peri-peri chicken calzones, a medium Hawaiian pizza on thin crust and a medium pepperoni and black olive thick crust – and all of us were very happy with what we’d ordered.
There’s also a Pizza Inn on the route de l’aéroport in Nord Foire. Does anyone know if it’s as good as the one on route de Ouakam?
Looks amazing! Totally on my ‘to do’ list for the next time we’re in Dakar.
