An absolute gem, hidden just off the Ngor roundabout in plain sight. My friend jokingly asked me not to share it on Dakar Eats (you were joking, right?) but honestly it wouldn’t matter. The secret is already out. The restaurant in the back of the Quiksilver Boardriders shop was pleasantly  full today at lunch – and that’s saying something for midweek.

They have a Facebook page and website with all the need-to-knows, but here’s a bit more… The menu is small and simple, but excellent and prices that are surprisingly easy on your wallet. It’s a place where you can pop in for a quick lunch to escape the office or grab a drink on your way to Casino to pick up groceries. Or you could lazy-away for hours reading a good book or chatting with friends by the pool in one of the shady spots.

The shop and restaurant are both larger and more attractive than I’d expected. Really a little oasis in Ngor. I’ll be going back very soon, and hope to check out their weekend brunch too.
