A new series on Dakar Eats! Five questions answered by some of Dakar’s best restaurants. For this edition, we’re hearing from Ray at the very (very!) newly opened Pause Douceur at 38 rue Jules Ferry, across from Villa Racine and Restaurant Le Dragon.

It’s a coffee and cake shop and everything is homemade, natural and fresh.

What are the most popular items on your menu?
American and Lebanese pastries, especially the meringues.

What’s something really great thing on your menu that you think people haven’t yet discovered but should try?
Ray’s salad and the cheesecake.

Ensuring the quality of my homemade products and services to always satisfy my customers.

What does your restaurant add to Dakar or what is unique about it?
One of the first vintage coffee shops in Dakar!
