I love that my son is growing up thinking that a ‘traditional Sunday lunch’ means take-out from Shady Shack. I’ve had a couple people ask how it works, so here’s the scoop…
On Sundays, starting around noon, Shady & Mirna offer an amazing lunch for 5,000cfa/person that’s available for take-out from the Shady Shack. His restaurant is located on the ISD campus. (You can park outside the school and then call Shady from the gate.)
The menu changes each week, but might include, for example: grilled BBQ chicken, spicy garlic potatoes, hummus with sauce piment and mint, fresh pita bread, fattoush salad and garlic sauce. It’s always delicious, always plenty!
No need to order in advance. Just show up and leave happy. 🙂
