UPDATE: Just got a message from the owner of the American Food Store letting us know they will be able to open a day earlier than planned!

Dakar Eats 
Looks very cool but did you see if they have something like Spray n Cook? Not sure what my American friends call it… But the stuff i found at other retailers around Dakar looks, smells and tastes awful and the cakes still stuck to the pan!

Visited today…. parking was filled with 008 cars! The definitely have cooking spray and tortillas

Very good merchandise, I love the concept of it… And since I’m not far a way from the shop I can quickly run errands and Cook a Quick meal for the kids!

Amazing,, Wow,,,, so different than when we lived in Dakar for 3 years in the early 1970’s,,,,Would have been wonderful,,, but we survived and did well! U.S. Embassy friends ordered from outside (Denmark ?) and when they left we bought some from them, and also we carried back a few things in suitcases on visits back to U.S., This is still amazing,,, American food stores in Dakar. :):)::) though it was fun living off the Dakar economy.
