Baked potatoes (#instapot) + rotisserie chicken (Casino) with BBQ sauce, dill pickles (@american_food_store), Gouda, purple onions, cilantro and Labneh (in place of sour cream), now made by Ardo and available at Casino.

I just received my monthly delivery of freshly roasted peanuts and all-peanut butter from #VeroniquesPeanuts. We have been eating her peanuts and peanut butter since 2012 And love it. In talking with Veronique, I learned that peanuts in Senegal are seasonal and the prices reflect this. We are currently in the more expensive season, so although she may pay up to 50% more per kilo of peanuts in the coming months, she doesn’t change her prices for the finished product. She also has not changed her prices in 8 years. Things to keep in mind when you shop and support small vendors in Senegal. Veronique’s Peanuts are available from the @bulkshopdakar in Almadies or delivery.

If anyone else got this today... ❤️. It is delicious. Must brew ASAP. We are hooked. mango leaves (dried), mint leaves, corossol (soursop) leaves, lemon leaves and moringa + I added some fresh ginger and sweetened with #marieskitchendakar Casamance honey. Thank you @taaruaskansn!

The kids wanted chicken and dumplings. So... rotisserie chicken from Casino, chicken bone broth from @beershebaproject, dumplings using #marieskitchendakar whole wheat flour; grated carrots, grated zucchini...
