Looking for a stand-in for Starbucks in Dakar?
Sweet Coffee on the route des Almadies (almost all the way to Le Méridien Hôtel) is definitely worth a visit.
Hot coffee drinks, iced coffee drinks, Turkish coffee, espresso… the selection is pretty decent. The presentation is far above what you’d get at Starbucks, and the prices are pretty comparable too. 🙂
If you’re looking for an ‘at home’ coffee fix, there’s a big cannister of Member’s Mark Cappuccino Mix at Maya & Dija (near the roundpoint in Hann-Maristes) with your name on it! STORE CLOSED AS OF JUNE 2012.
