Rarely does a week go by that I don’t listen to an episode of The Splendid Table from American Public Radio.
Of course, being in Senegal I tend to listen to past episodes from spring and summer since the topics often match our climate here a little better. However, I did come across this special treat in an episode from last winter:
“This week we’re being introduced to the lush foods of Senegal with Pierre Tham, author of Yolele: Recipes from the Heart of Senegal.
Chef Pierre Thiam joins us for a look at the food traditions of a part of Africa we know little about. It’s one man’s joyous tribute to his homeland, the women in his family and their food.”
Pretty cool, eh?
